The pictures below were taken from my Olympus Camera, including the underwater pics. As you will soon discover, I took pictures of everything and mostly everybody with little editing. Some pictures are sharper than others but I did not leave out any picture that I took.

Emails Received from Ron and Jennie's month-long Honeymoon in Columbia
October 31
We're loving it here. We enjoyed some tasty seafood for lunch next to a beautiful plaza here in the old colonial part of town. Tomorrow morning we head out to las Islas del Rosario and will spend a anywhere from a few days to a week relaxing on the beach. Not sure what the wireless situation will be out there. We're enjoying recounting stories from our fantastic wedding weekend. Thanks again for making all of that possible,
November 12
We enjoyed walking around the old city of Cartegena yesterday visiting various sites - and now we leave for santa Marta.
November 16
Jennie and I are really enjoying our honeymoon in Colombia. So far we have visited Cartegena, Islas del Rosario, Santa Marta, Barlovento near Parque Tayrona (an amazing beach house), Barriachara and Villa de Leyva (where we rented bikes and explored the countryside...see photo below from Villa de Leyva's beautiful colonial main square). We plan on arriving in Bogota today and will stay until Tuesday (then we go to Cali for some salsa dancing). Jennie has a childhood friend who runs a hostel in Medellin so we hope to visit there as well. We will also return to Bogota sometime before our flight leaves back to the states on November 30. In bogota were hoping to meet up with some folks - foreign exchange students who stayed with Barbara, cousins of my friend Marcel, the founder of Bogota's Ciclovia (which LAs is modeled after) and potentially my old mentor from Portland who will be in town. In between places, we have traveled by bus, shuttle, taxi, bicycle, boat, foot, mini-van, pick-up truck and soon enough a plane.
We are really enjoying our time together. We look forward to seeing all of you in December.
November 20
We enjoyed our time in Bogota - meeting with the founder of Ciclovia, then riding in it (photo below), going to a popular and surreal restaurant with Barbara's former exchange student and his new wife, meeting up with Jennie's old coworker at a delicious local restaurant, checking out some museums including the Botero one, taking their transmileno rapid bus, gettin some stylish Colombian clothes at a new mega mall (see my new style below) and even soaking in some natural hot springs at one of Bogota's most exclusive country clubs....now we're off to Cali for some salsa dancing. We should be there fr thanksgiving. I have my iPad so we hope to connect with all of you on Thanksgiving Day.
November 24
We finished our 10 hours of salsa classes as saw an incredible Cali style salsa show last night with some fast moving legwork. Today we bus to a small town in the hills of the coffee region called Salento where we will stay for two days (not sure we'll have internet there). Love Ron
November 28
Jennie and I arrived in Medellin (see below) on Monday after two relaxing days in beautiful Salento where we walked on a dirt road outside of town and toured a small coffee farm. Yesterday, we rode one of the Medellin's public MetroCables, a gondola with three stops up one of the steep hills that surround both sides of the city. It gave us spectacular views of the city and a whole new definition of what's possible when it comes to public transportation. At the last stop, we switched to a other gondola that took us another 15 minutes up over the hill into a huge, spectacular City park called Arvi where we went on a guided walk by a Ranger-like guide. It appears Medellin has made a more conscious effort to invest in its civic infrastructure. We saw more of that today during our visit to their botanical garden. We're saying at Casa Kiwi, a place that greeted our arrival with flowers and a bottle of champaign. Tomorrow night we take an overnight bus to catch our plane leaving Bogota at noon on Friday. We look forward to or return home. Love, Ron
